The Kajabi Branded App costs $199 a month as an add-on if you're on the Basic or Growth plan, and it's included at no extra cost on Pro ($399/month billed annually). You'll also pay Apple $99 a year and Google a one-time $25 for the developer accounts your app is published under.
I've launched 5+ Branded Mobile Apps for Kajabi creators, and "how much is it?" is the first question every one of them asks. The honest answer has a few layers, so here's the full picture:
Basic + Branded App: $342/month with annual billing
Growth + Branded App: $398/month with annual billing
Pro (app included): $399/month with annual billing
Everything below was checked against Kajabi's pricing page and Help Center on November 4, 2026.
Kajabi Branded App pricing by plan
On Basic and Growth, the Branded App is a flat $199/month add-on; on Pro it's built in. Kajabi's Branded App overview says you can add one Branded App, Community included, to any plan at that price.
If you pay Kajabi month to month instead, the plans are $179 (Basic), $249 (Growth) and $499 (Pro), so the same setups come to $378, $448 and $499 per month. Annual billing saves $432, $600 and $1,200 a year on those three plans.
What the $199/month actually gets you
You get your own white-labeled app in the Apple App Store and Google Play, with your name, logo and icon and zero Kajabi branding, built and maintained by Kajabi. Specifically:
Your content in one place: evergreen and cohort courses, coaching programs, podcasts, Community and Backstage, all inside the app.
Push notifications: schedule them or send them live, target all customers or a segment, and send as many as you want each month.
In-app purchases: sell courses and community products directly in the app, as one-time purchases or subscriptions.
Customization: a welcome screen, onboarding carousels and a custom home screen.
Maintenance: Kajabi keeps the app compatible with Apple and Google updates, so new features reach your app automatically.
Languages: English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
What you don't get: custom code in the app, or your website customizations carried over. The app is built for consuming your products, and Kajabi says broader customization is planned but not available yet. Details are in the Branded App FAQs.
Costs that aren't on your Kajabi invoice
Four costs sit outside the $199: two developer-account fees, a commission on in-app sales, and contacts if you outgrow your plan. Kajabi requires you to create your own Apple and Google developer accounts so you control in-app purchases, can respond to reviews, and have the listing under your own brand.
Two of these are easy to overlook. First, the commission only applies to purchases made inside the app, not sales on your website. Second, every member who creates an account through the app counts as a contact in your Kajabi CRM, so a growing app audience can push you toward your plan's contact limit.
There's also a time cost: Kajabi says publishing typically takes 6 to 8 weeks after you buy the add-on, depending on Apple and Google review.
What the first year really costs
In year one, the Branded App route costs roughly $4,200 to $4,900 depending on your plan: 12 months of Kajabi on annual billing, plus Apple's $99 and Google's $25.
From year two, drop the $25 Google fee: renewal is Apple's $99 plus your Kajabi bill. These totals exclude payment processing and Apple and Google's commission on in-app sales.
For scale, Kajabi's FAQ says a fully custom app typically costs $30,000 to $60,000 and takes 6 to 12 months to build. A Branded App goes live in weeks.
Growth plus the app, or just upgrade to Pro?
If you're on Growth and want the app, Pro is the better buy: it's $399/month against $398/month for Growth plus the add-on. That extra $1 gets you unlimited products (Growth caps at 50), 100,000 contacts (versus 25,000), 3 websites and 3 communities (versus 1 each), 26 admin users (versus 11), and API access.
Basic is a different story. Pro costs $57/month more than Basic plus the app ($399 versus $342), and Basic's limits are tight: 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 website and 2 admin users. Basic plus the app works for a lean, single-offer business, but remember that app sign-ups count toward that 2,500-contact limit.
Kajabi's own pricing FAQ points people who want their own App Store app toward Pro. On monthly billing the gap is wider: Growth plus the app is $448 against $499 for Pro.
Is the Kajabi Branded App worth it?
It pays for itself only if you use it as more than a nicer login. The add-on costs $2,388 a year ($199 × 12), so the question is how many extra sales or retained members it takes to cover that. As an illustration: at a $297 course, about 9 extra sales a year covers it; at a $997 offer, about 3. That's before Apple and Google's 15% to 30% on any sales made inside the app.
It tends to fit when:
You run a course, community or membership that people return to weekly.
You want push notifications as a marketing channel, with no monthly send limit.
You want to acquire customers in the app, not just serve existing ones.
It's harder to justify when you're early, have few members, or your audience lives in email and on the web. Kajabi's free customer app already lets members download Kajabi's app and log in to your brand, which covers the basics without the $199.
One pattern I see: owners pay for the app but never turn on account sign-up, so it works as a delivery tool instead of a growth channel. Sign-up only activates once you feature at least one evergreen course on the app's home screen. If you're going to pay for the app, plan to use that.
Before you buy: preview, timeline and cancellation
The main thing to know is that you can't fully test the app before paying. Here's what else to plan for:
No trial: you can see a limited preview under Branded App > Design in your Kajabi dashboard, but Kajabi doesn't build a working app until you buy the add-on or are on Pro.
Timeline: typically 6 to 8 weeks to publish. Kajabi's team handles the initial Apple and Google approvals, including any rejections.
Auto-renewal: the add-on renews each billing cycle. You can cancel any time and it stays active until the end of the cycle you've paid for.
Site changes: archiving or deleting your site disables the app's data feed. To park a site, contact Kajabi support to cancel the add-on first.
One app per account: you can build one Branded App per Kajabi account, not one per site inside the same account.

How much does the Kajabi Branded App cost per month?
$199 a month on top of your plan if you're on Basic or Growth. On Pro it's included at no extra cost.
Is the Branded App included in any Kajabi plan?
Yes, Pro. It costs $399/month billed annually, or $499/month billed monthly.
Is there a free trial of the Kajabi Branded App?
No. You can view a limited preview in your dashboard, but Kajabi builds a working app only after you buy the add-on or are on Pro.

Can I sell products inside the Branded App?
Yes, courses and community products, as one-time purchases or subscriptions. Apple and Google generally take 15% to 30%. Apple must approve each in-app purchase, which typically takes a few business days; Google doesn't require approval.
What's the difference between the Branded App and the Kajabi app?

Can I cancel the Branded App?
Yes, any time. It renews automatically each billing cycle and stays active until the end of the cycle you've paid for.
